Membership
Membership & supervision concept
All PhD and MD students funded by the CSCC and working in CSCC research projects or groups are members of its RTG with all rights and duties as they are given in the bylaws. Medical students who are conducting scientific work for a MD doctorate in close association to ongoing CSCC projects are prompted to apply for RTG-membership upon the recommendation of the project leader. PhD students of the CSCC-RTG who are members of Jena School for Microbial Communication (JSMC) and complying with its regulations, are invited to contribute to and participate in CSCC-RTG activities.
CSCC routinely offers fellowships for MD and PhD students. Graduates or the future group leader is asked to apply a short proposal fitting the research agenda and the objectives of the CSCC. The proposal should follow the guidelines indicated in the project form. Incomplete or non-fitting applications will not be considered. Please fill in the application form completely. The project form can be inquired from the CSCC-RTG coordinator. The project proposal has to be presented on a public symposium by the candidate or by the future group leader. On this basis the Internal Review Board of the CSCC evaluates the scientific quality of the project and gives a recommendation about the funding. The Board of the CSCC decides on the funding after having an interview with the MD or PhD student.
